Episode 7 | How’s your heart?
During this DJ set, MA slows the pace down a little to encourage the listeners to check in with themselves; to make space for whatever it is that they are feeling; instead of forcing themselves to feel in any particular way, MA suggests that the listeners accept the challenges of the day to day of life on planet pandemia.
But then, “It’s time to move!”. The second part of the set begins with Dr Maya Angelou reading, “And still I rise” which ushers in a playlist to get your blood flowing and your body moving from “ORA BASTA!” (Enough!) to “ORA SU!” (Rise up!). And whatever you don’t forget to, “…let your heart, your mind, body, soul, SING!” As MA says, “Move your groove and make your heart happen.” as she curates a playlist to accompany a moment of communal self care, reminding the listeners that “Resilience is a collective.”
