MA conjures up a trip to Paris as a way to combat pandemic fatigue and the effects of having been stuck at home for almost over a year, caught between feeling grateful for being able to stay home whilst at the same time seeing the economic effects of pandemic devastate the arts and in particular her own career as an artist which she has spent years building, creating her own record label, managing her own full copyright to her catalogue, not to mention live performances and work for hire…what to do? “Collective resilience also means the honesty to stand up and say ‘Enough!’, “Basta! Non ce la faccio piu!’ In this episode, MA creates a right to vent or ‘Il diritto allo sfogo’ which she resorts to by imagining a trip to Paris.

The artist Miriam Aziz (“MA”) hosts a series of DJ Resilienza sets fusing a mixture of storytelling, advice for managing the impact of the pandemic on our day to day lives, and an excuse to, “Move your Groove”, as MA likes to say. Miriam Aziz was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the EUI between 2000-04.
